Memory sizes have dramatically increased for laptops thanks to low costs for the DDR2 technology. More and more budget systems are coming with high memory and mid-ranged systems are tending to max out the memory that the laptop can handle. With Intel's latest laptop chipset and processors, DDR3 is now making inroads into the portable market.
